The Allied troops created a peace treaty with Germany, hoping that the hatred between these countries would end. To end this, the Allied troops created the Treaty of Versailles. The Treaty of Versailles put the blame of the war on Germany because many countries feared Germany, for they had many weapons and a strong army. The treaty was designed to exclude Germany from many things that were happening in the world. For example, all the land that Germany won from France and other countries had to be given back to the countries. Germany was also not allowed to own land 50 kilometers east and west from the Rhine River, so, as they thought, would leave Germany to stay a little bit away from France.
Many people disagreed with the Treaty of Versailles. They believe that Germany was not the reason why World War 1 started and that Germany should not be blamed for a war that they were forced to join into. Many people believe, however, that the person who assassinated the Prince of Austria- Hungry was the real reason on why the war started. What do you think the reason of the war was?:
